Hi SD. Guys are all about respect. Most of those statements show a lack of it, but the good news is, if you change them to describe him and make the negative ones positive, you have another ready-made hub of what to say to your guy. E.g. "You are a really good kisser--I like your friends--you are hotter than....I'm very attracted to you naked etc. Build our self-esteem and recognize our efforts and we'll follow you anywhere. =:)

Look, from my point of view, most of those things above would tell me that the woman is not that into the guy and really she should tell him, so either he or she could move on, not just hang around because she doesnt have someone else. The least she could do is say look your just a right now thing until I find something better. Some things you keep to yourself, but "I don't see you in my future" laugh hello that is one you should say.

Yes, I do agree with you. One has to keep the secret of his past love life which was broken due to some tradegy or misunderstanding away from boyfriend. Talking lavishly also damage the relationship and it is always better to concentrate on your boyfriend rather than looking here and there.

But I know what mine would be and I would be talking to my cousin about these feelings, and as soon as possible to let her know. I don't know what the situation is with your boyfriend being upset about your ex, but we all have ex's for a reason. It didn't work out with them so we move on. Your current boyfriend wasn't in a relationship with you back then, so I don't know why your past relationship should affect him now he is with you. I suggest you reassure him the past relationship is long over, was a mistake (?) and you're glad you're relationship ended, and reassure him how much you love him and don't want to lose him just like you said here. Hi Tbone66, You can only reassure him, but don't delve too deeply into this issue he has as you don't want to take on his insecurity about this as your own, and you don't want to take it personally, or have to constantly try to 'prove yourself' to him. Hopefully he realises the ex wasn't meant to stay in his life due to her behaviour, and that you are nothing like her. It does sound like he has some 'emotional baggage' which he's bringing into your relationship, and it's not fair on you. Best wishes and hope this helps a little!
