Love Poem: Missing You
63This is not a sad poem about missing someone, but rather, a daydream, remembering the intimate essence of someone from a past relationship. An intimate memory of a lover.
I closed my eyes
(And it must have been a dream)
You lay here beside me
I snuggled in, skin touching skin
And warmed you with a kiss
My hand ran softly
Down your back
Your breath,
Against my cheek
Still fast asleep
You didn't seem to notice
I kissed your neck
And down your chest
Your body
Felt so warm
I could have sworn
That you were really here
