Guys and body shaving:
When my boyfriend arrived at my place for a sleep-over he whispered in my ear that he had "A little surprise" for me. He said I'd find out what it was later, but as he sat down next to me on the lounge, I pleaded with him to tell me what it was NOW because I just couldn't wait, I love little surprises!
Finally he gave in. He got up and stood in the middle of the lounge room, in front of me. He started to unbutton his shirt. I noticed straight away - even before he could get all of the buttons undone I'd blurted out "Oh my god! You've shaved off your chest hair! Why did you do that?". "I thought I'd do it as a surprise for you" he said.
"What!" I said, "But I love your chest hair! I love your fur! I love running my fingers through your hairs, and it feels so sexy, and you're so manly, and it's one of my favourite things about you!", "Ohhh", he said "Then I don't think you're going to want to see the rest of me right now".
He quickly buttoned up his shirt and sat back down.
I felt confused. My boyfriend confessed he had shaved off ALL of his hair on his body below his face. Even his arms. He thought it would somehow impress me, so he seemed to have good intentions, but I have no idea where he would get even the faintest idea that I would be turned on by his body becoming hairless. I don't even like shaving myself! He knew I was crushed!
He's a naturally hairy guy, just the way I like it! I remember the first time I met him, as we spoke, I noticed a few curly chest hairs peeking out around the area of his collared shirt, and thinking how sexy that was. It appealed to me so much, it lead me to thinking what his chest would look like if he wasn't wasn't wearing that shirt.
I asked him why he would ever think that I'd be happy about him removing his body hair. He said that some of his friends had done it and told him that girls really liked it. "No!" I said. "Why would a girl want a boyfriend with whom they could compare who's legs were the smoothest! ","Why would I want to run my fingers over a mans spiky regrowth chest?". I just could not believe he'd done it assuming I'd like it. Those manly hairs were precious to me!
He also said that his brother regularly shaved his legs, "Well, how far up the leg does he shave?" I asked "Does he shave up to the top and have a bikini line at the crutch like a girl? Or does he shave just up to his knees like some women do?". He wasn't impressed with my questions. But I had to ask one more - "Did you really shave, EVERYTHING down there?". Then I got a vision of him in the shower with a razor, shaving places which I don't think would be easy to shave, and another vision in my mind of what his man-bits would now look like totally bald, like plucked-chicken skin!
He's a lovely man, but I love hair on a man! I really do want to run my fingers through it, feel it against my skin, and rest my head on a cushion of chest hairs, not smooth girly skin, or spiky bits like I get on my own legs if I haven't shaved in a few days...
It's just like the way guys adore some of the sexy feminine things about girls, I adore the sexy masculine things about guys - and I'm not against a little trimming here and there, but he couldn't have turned me off more, the day he did that... I'm still open to other little surprises though!

Hi stricktlydating,nice to hear back from you.I am pretty much assured you do like (natural)hair on men......i'd like to thank you because i was very very conscious about the amount of hair i have on my arms , whole of legs , whole of my chest n abdomen.....i was very depressed ...and to tell you i considered myself to be a cursed boy......i even searched/asked on net and got to know girls hate hairy men......and it more pulled down my self esteem to such a level that i started hating self and avoiding girls around me(assuming that the also hate my hairy body..and so hate ME)!!

I like my husband's body hair! I don't know why there's so much pressure to go hairless. I think it looks ridiculous when a man shaves or waxes his naughty bits, and it seems feminine for a man to shave his arms and legs.

Hi Masculine, yes many, many women think the same as me and don't like their guy to wax or shave either. So don't take it personally about the girl who you said implied you have extended pubes, that's just plain nasty - and totally rude! You deserve a women who will appreciate the joys of your naturally hairy body! Be proud :)
i feel very insecure being very hairy guy and feel jealous of all those "normal" hairy men out there.
i think its getting deep into my mind and taking over me...i feel irritated due to it.....while waxing(once i tried) i felt more irritated and jealous of other men.

Hi Masculine, there's no need for you to feel gelous of 'normal' hairy men, or to feel deeply irritated by it. Sometimes the things we like least about ourselves are the things others love about us the most. To give you an example from my own personal experience - One man I was dating told me that he really loved my toes. He thought they were cute and one of my best features. He didn't know this but actually I loath them, I think they look awful! So you see, beauty is really in the eye of the beholder!
I've had a few girlfriends who have tried a brazillian and have said they'd never go back. I can safely say as a bloke, I can't see why any man would want to be hairy, I detest it. I don't shave my arms, but under my arms, legs and 'down there' - absolutely. I don't have any hair on my chest or back, thankfully. I know my girlfriend wouldn't have it any other way either, once you get used to it (and sure, that takes a little time) it's just a horrible thought - to go back.
As a woman - go without shaving for 2 weeks - I bet you can't do it. Why? Because it's what you're used too - no other reason - you can't say society drives you too it - if no one saw you were hairy, you'd still hate it.
An interesting topic - more and more men are getting hair removal. I wonder what the future holds for this subject!

i think men should remain all natural, the way they are made,wether very/hairy or smooth...but remain natural.
I don't understand why some men think that its good to remove hair to look smooth like a woman!
we women are naturally little hairy/hairless....and we wax/shave just to lay more emphasis on this fact that we are hairless species comparitively, but many men try to copy us, i don't know why....? its altogether a different matter if you are a professional sports person/model/actor.
Good work by you to make men rethink their decision , but in the end its their personal decision , but i wantm my man to be natural whatever he is blessed with!

I can’t help but smile when I think about how uncomfortable your guy friend was as his hair grew back. I’ll bet that he was itchy for along time. I’ve never shaved and it just doesn’t seem right. I’m glad that you accept us guys the way we are, there should be more women like you. Hair kind of affects a man’s self esteem. When I started going bald, it really affected my personal image. I have come to terms with the situation and either shave my head or cut it as short as possible. I guess that’s life.

i am a hairy guy.....initially even i was very obsessed and conscious about being lot hairy esp. my chest/stomach and arms because no matter what these(arms n chest in shirt button open) are always exposed to some degree in public.But i have accepted them and infact love them to some extent as not every guy has it! ;-p
In winters its good and looks good....but i sweaty hot humid weather the sticked sweat makes the dark hair look a little weired n gross...but i cope up with it.Take it or leave it.

I am a very hairy guy....its so dark coarse and long wild and its all over me and i hate it.I feel hairy men are sort of cursed people(no offence to other men but this is the way i feel)....given such large amount of body hair is some sort of punishment which will end with me only and not before.
Either we indulge in full body hair removal which is not easy task or keep the ugly hair which is also a torture.....and why would any women like a gross hairy thing.
IDK how much hairy you are talking about but i hardly think there are women who actually find hairy men attractive.They would just adjust and bear with the guy just for sake of love if the lady is not shallow thinker.

i had never shaved my body hair before but my girlfriend suggested i shave my armpits and chest and well i always keep the pubes trimmed anyway, but so i shaved it all and she really liked it and me being a body builder i even think it looks better so yah im one for male shaving now, i dont think its for every guy though

It is absolutely right that most of the females do like hairy man as they feel sexy to see them with lot of hair on their chest and body. This trend has changed now and most of the girls have changed their opinions about a hairy man. It is also a fact that you may be liking a hairy man but what about the man who does not want any hair on his chest and body?. Think about this as the men are also changed now.

Why would my husband of 22 years shave his chest & private areas after I have told him repeatedly how disgusted this makes me. I have told him several times how sexy his chest hair was. It is a major turn-off for me when I reach down there and there is NO hair at all! It disgusts me, I feel like a child molester or something.

This hair is also located deep in the inner thighs and frankly, my butt crack. It is very uncomfortable and unpleasant, especially when these hairs fight against your body when moving. Thanks for your comment and adding to this topic. I guess it's annoying when your body hair grows longer at the back than your haircut, and the friction pain when moving, I hadn't thought about before. Still, I'm a fan of hairy men!
I love hair man too. My husband is hairy and hot. He knows I love his chest and all his mainly and hairy body. His brother is 23 years old, 2 years younger than him, and he shaves everything. He is a personal trainer and has a hot body, but it looks weird with no hair in my opinion.

I read each and every comment on this forum or hub as others called it, and was quite impressed how you kept it going for so long and replied to everyone.... Very thoughtfull of you strictlydating.... But when I read about other men being hairy and describe where they are hairy, its no where near as hairy as I am.... For a while I truly thought I may have some sort of symptom or other issue... Im not exagerating when I say Im hairy, every inch of my body is a dam fur, even my fingers and toes....only the sides of my stomach has a sort of a peach fuzz, thats about it, and I could never ever approach a girl to ask out for a date ( its not just hair problem its other issues I have about myself as well thats stopping me, but the hair is the first obvious thing about me) I am 27 years old of arab decent, and have been single 99% of my life and its driving me complete mad....media is satan's playground though and have polluted the minds of many men and women to what is attractive and what is not....sometimes I wish there was a dating site or some sort of site for girls interested in being with such hairy men, cause the way I see it, girls like you simply do not exist..... But whatever, some are born with a gold spoon to feed them, some are not, some are born models, some are not...... My train ride to out of this cursed planet is taking far far too long....

You are right that some people are born better looking than others, but also bear in mind different people are attracted to different things. As you know I'm partial to hairy men, as I know many other woman are too, but when it comes to love whether my man is naturally very hairy or even if he's not blessed in that way, it doesn't matter, it's the person that matters. Even being generously hairy it's not likely to be a major turn off for the girls! Even really good looking people spend long periods single, unable to find the right person. Looks don't mean everything when it comes to relationships. Confidence comes from within and having a good nature, which it certainly seems like you do, will far outshine any perceived flaws :) Best wishes with life and love.

Anyways Im not sure about your age, but girls around my age hate hair, I have done a lot of searching and what not, and the ratio about girls loving hairy men is very low, it seems like the more mature and ladies older then I am love the hairy look. And even a lot of the ones who do love hair on a guy have a limit to how much he should have, which again puts me out of luck, as laser hair removal is not an option due to the price, and forget waxing and shaving, if I start somewhere, I wouldnt know where to stop as it would be obvious. Hmm dont really know what else to say...I usually always have something to say but not at the moment :/

I'm around your age too, and you know what I'd forget all about the research you found as it's just not the way it is when someone you meet is interested in you. Think about when you meet a girl, you're wearing a long shirt, trousers, socks and shoes and she doesn't know how hairy you are when she's getting to know you. Someone who falls in love with you falls in love with you as a person, and truly the hair won't bother them even if you think it's in all the wrong places. I'd liken it to when a girl wonders if her date will think her theighs are too big, of if her bum looks too big in jeans. Seriously, if someone likes you they're not going to worry about your body hair.

i landed on this hub as i was just googling about hair removal ..as i am myself excess hairy guy....although i liked this hub and its message...but you know...there is hair means having some male hair on certain body parts....thats cool and some women (like you) might love it...but there is lots of thick coarse long hairs and they r everywhere on the body of the guy...i don't think thats a thing any woman might ever like it...when the guy himself cannot like it and hates it..then why would someone else like it ever?
So we very hairy men r sort of cursed but thats what we gt from nature and we have to live our lives painfully and lonely.

I have no idea how I came across this hub but I LOVE it!! My man is "man hairy" meaning just rightly so and in the right places. The other day a friend at work was showing me he shaves his chest and I was actually creeped out :D Way to stand up for the hairy man! I am also a furry guy....i have dark black fur on my body ..from down below the neck to ankles its all covered in black fur (like the caveman) loll....i have never known any woman who likes such fur...loll...i hope neither do you like full body "fur"!

hi, I have been shaving all my life about once/month until just a year ago. I've been shaving so as to enhance definition of six pack abs and muscle tone. Also I'm an art model and figure it would be beneficial to artists. I just decided to stop and see what happens; how would I feel. I def feel more embarrassed whilst posing however I feel more manly, and less woman-ish...women are supposed to shave; for men hair is natural. Yes I've just come to realize this. Maybe a day before the beach I will break out the razor but for now I'm quite hairy and my WONDER is what is the general consensus? I'm taking a poll - how do you ladies feel? I always felt you girls prefer guys fully shaved...Shall I keep the hair...can send photos if interested...hopefully some light from strictlydating ;-) thanks!
Hi Keepcontrolofme, Great of you to share your experience on this subject. And I was so thrilled to hear that you were once a shaver and now feel more manly being hairy. Believe me if you have a toned tummy and six pack we can see it under the hair quite fine. I personally don't like the feel of rubbing a guys smooth and spikey chest, it doesn't feel right. i have A LOT of hair at my back and shoulders. chest,whole stomach, arms and legs are also covered with dark hair.
i lost many dates because of that body hair, and even though im married now, my wife really hates it.
i dont really believe a woman who loves stomach or back hair on men exists in the world. Even if there are any, they must be rare to encounter. havent met one in my life.

I LOVE my boyfriend's hairy chest, and his arm hair. I do like him keeping downstairs a little bit trimmed, but I'd be really mad if he shaved! I even love his chin stubble, even though it rubs my face raw when we kiss. He's a big, strong guy, but the hairiness makes him seem even more manly. I love it!
Like Steven I started to get quite hairy after my 13th birthday. As a guy at school, it was a little embarresing at first, but by 14 a lot of the other boys were saying they wished that they were as hairy as me. I was quite surprised when at 15 my uncle took me to swimming lessens, after the lessen I was in the drying room, I could not help noticing that men a lot older than me were not as hairy as I was, I was very hairy on my legs, this was due to cycling not swimming, I gave that up quickly and continued the cycling. Since I was 14 I developed a very hairy neck, I had to go to the hairdresser every 2 weeks. These thick hairs have now spread down to my shoulders and chest. I was very proud to be so hairy all over, I have hairy legs, chest, arms, and of course 'down there', but I think the hairyest part of me are my shoulders, this is because of the thick neck hair spreading down to them. I married my wife, her father was also hairy, so no problems there, she loved to gently stroke the hairs, especially the chest and shoulder hairs. I have told her that I have, and never will, cut, shave, wax or trim any hairs on my body.
I am very proud to show off in particular my hairy shoulders, for the last 15 years I have been wearing sleeveles vests, and during warm weather this seem very good, I've had a few looks in the street, but I don't bother. I feel very manly being so hairy, its feels great.

However it has its benefits, these thick hairs then spread down left right to my shoulders and chest making these places, fantastically bushy.I
Iam now a lot older, I have never, and will never, shave, cut, wax or trim my hairy legs, arms, chest or shoulders.

Thank you stricktlydating for noting my letter, for some reason my 1st then duplicate 2nd and 3rd letter disappeared, then re-appeared, the first letter is the main one. That was awful of your boyfriend waxing shaving his whole body, so he said to please you, if I had done that my wife would have refused sex at least until all the hairs were the way they were before shaving, it would take at least 6 months, perhaps a little sooner, as I have quite a quick growth, but as I have said I would not do that in a 100 years.
hi ALMORR igot pubes and armpit hair at 12 happy trail between 13 and 14 my chest hair started at 14 at school after football we would at go for a shower all the lads had hair down there but i was the first lad to hairs on my chest i prond of my hairy chest

Hello Steve, I'am of a different generation than you, I am 45 years of age with a son and daughter. I'll tell you now that your chest hair will always grow, it has not stopped sprouting, you think you are hairy now, just wait until you are 30,40 and so on, these hairs will just keep getting longer, as they get longer, they overlap each other, and that is what makes that very bushy very hairy man look just as I am now. Congratulations, you promise me, that like me you will never, wax, cut or trim one hair off yourself.
John, I'm 23 and my chest still has next to no hair, just a few strands here and there, mostly just around the nipples. It looks ridiculous so yeah I shave it off. My legs on the other hand look like they belong to a wooly mammoth.

Steve, happy new year for 2012, and John, yes very much so, teenagers do mature quicker today than they did a couple of generations ago, but any guy out there that is naturally smooth, that is OK, many girls love that, much better than guys that shave there natural hairy chest and leave that stubble look, to most girls and women, that is yuk and unnatural.

Yes Ape Hairy, I certainly do like that! Do you know that a lot of men have hairs on their sholders, back, butt and thighs... Infact MOST of my former boyfriends and men I've dated have. Women know that guys have hair in many more places than us and that's fine, it's masculine, it's normal to us - and believe me it's not a turn off! It makes me giggle a little that you worry so much about it because seriously you don't need to worry about this at all.
For goodness sake Ape Hairy, please note what stricktlydating is saying. Many women will love how HAIRY you are. You seem as hairy as I am. As I previously noted, my thick neck hair extends down left, right to make my shoulders particularly bushy, and as I say I am not ashamed to tell you that I am always wearing sleeveless vests, shirts, because I feel great. I feel very proud to be manly and very hairy, I do admit I have had quite a few reactions to how hairy I am, for example, to start with at the age of 14 my father forced me to go to the the hairdresser to get my neck hair cut once every two weeks. A couple of years later when I was about 19 or 20 I stripped to the waist, and the reactions from a couple of girls about my hairy chest, was 'your like a werewolf', another time when I was working in gardening, cutting hedges, another guy tried to cut the hairs of my shoulders with a pair of garden shears, I was not the least happy about that and reported that incident to my supervisor, who told him, any more of that, your dismissed. Regarding my arms, I have been told I'am like a monkey. My wife like striktlydating does not mind the least bit, however, there was another women in the office where she worked that hated me for being so hairy, although as a person she liked me, but not the hair. So being hairy you have to take a bit of stick, you get used to it I can assure you.
So this weekend Ape Hairy (I don't like calling you that) dress up smartly, nice head haircut, short sleeved (NOT sleevless) shirt and go downtown, to a pub, clubbing, whatso ever, and enjoy yourself, you never know, what young lady you might meet.

Hello James, nice to hear from you, that is good that your hairs have started growing around your nipples, they should now spread to the rest of your chest in the next couple of months and by the time you are 30 I hope you have a nice hairy chest, expose your chest to the sun and air, growth should be quicker that way.
I just liked the hub but still i am very much insecure about me being ery hairy young guy....manytimes i also feel like removing my thick dark hairs esp. when i see lots of men with no /less body hairs...and we very hairy men look like some beates next to you women /less hairy men!

Hello Being Hairy, as I am a little older than some of the other hubbers, I seem to have a bit more experience with these issues. Please do not feel insecure for being hairy, God has endowed you naturally with thick dark hairs, and from my own experience some of these hairless guys might want to be more like what you are, a real man. Be proud of being hairy, nothing to be ashamed of. Please do not remove any of your body hairs.
almorr thanks for answering in my case better late than never i was begining to think i was going to be smooth for the rest of my life. I got hairs down below and seem to be coming up passed my belly button mybe my chest hair well spread out and down i hope i do have a hairy chest in two years time. how long did it take you to get a very hairy chest

Charles, you will have a hairy chest within 2 years, maybe sooner.
Every little hair at the moment will grow quite quickly, and as they grow, they start overlapping each other, this way you get that bushy effect, which of course becomes that very hairy look. It depends on how quickly they grow, I found that if you expose your chest to the sun and air, the hairs could grow a bit quicker, but there is no fast rule about that. Do you have a hairy neck? like I had, if you do these hairs eventually should spread down to your shoulders, making them very hairy too.

My husband is very very hairy all over and dark hairs too, bald head 6ft 2in and 16stone. I can't think of any bigger turn on than a bald large hairy (good looking) man it too is one of the things that attract me to him

Mrs Bear, excellent, congratulations, that is a wonderful attitude you have to hairy natural men, I like the fact that your wonderful husband has a bald head, I assume that is natural, and not him shaving the hair off. I am 5ft 7in and 11stone, but do still have a reasonable amount of hair up top, when I go to my barber every 8 weeks she says that a lot of men younger than I am, don't have as much hair as I have on my scalp, once again, congratulations to you and your husband.

Hi, guys, I'm reading this hub with great interest.
I have an issue I've not seen mentioned - I am a mature hairy man, age 46. I have, at various times in my life, worn my chest hair proudly, or at other times, shaved it in order to try to look more like a workout model.
But now, at age 46, my chest hair is starting to turn white! I've already had to give up wearing long sideburns as I prefer because they turned white. I feel SO much older with white chest hair and sideburns! - It makes me feel like somebody's grandfather. Definitely NOT sexy. So, I'm thinking about shaving my chest and stomach again.
What do you think about older men and white body hair? I'm mostly interested in opinions from women my own age, of course, but I guess I'm interested in what the younger crowd thinks, as well.
Hi Toddbear, I get what you're saying. It's not like you can dye your chest hairs back to their original colour! But I still would prefer grey hair over a shaved chest, it's the hairs there and not their colour that I find so appealing. Apart from this, they will feel very spiky cuddling really close to a woman. It could irritate her skin or scratch it.
Sigh, I know what you mean about the feeling of shaved skin when touched. I can get my chest to feel almost perfectly smooth for a grand total of about six to eight hours after shaving before it starts to feel like sandpaper. That makes the timing before intimacy very important - ideally I need to shave almost immediately before being close to a partner.
And then, I have to keep doing it every single day, or else I can't stand how my clothes and the bedsheets feel against my skin. That's an extra fifteen minutes in the shower every day, at least. And sometimes there's very unattractive bleeding and rashes to deal with.
Maybe I'd better just leave it alone and hope to meet someone who's as understanding as you, stricktlydating, and likes the fuzzy feeling.
How do you guys and gals feel about trimming? When my chest hair gets long, it starts to feel kind of gross. But trimming can create sharp ends that cause an unpleasant prickly feeling to the touch, especially if I accidentally get it too short.
It's nice to be able to talk about this openly and honestly without embarrassment.
Hi Toddbear, Nice to hear from you again and thanks for being so honest! Trimming is ok if it is only light and if it's not noticable that you've done it, I wouldn't trim it much if you decide to do that, otherwise I'd leave it as is... the fuzzy feeling is awesome! Goodluck!

Hello Mark, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, like James you are perhaps a little later (bloomer as you call it) in starting to have a hairy chest, if you have hairy legs, arms, etc you should soon start to see small hairs appearing on your chest.
Recently I gave up trying to grow a beard, it was coming on great, but I felt so uncomfortable with it I shaved the lot off after only 4 weeks. It made me realize how some men and women too feel about excess hair on other parts of their bodies that they are not used to having.

Now, how did I feel when I started to have hairs on my chest, answer, wonderful, they started to show when I was about 15 or 16 and just grow longer, when that happens they overlap each other, and that is what makes them look very bushy, so I felt great, so will you too and Sarah, I am sure she appreciates a real man like you.
David, I am not fed up answering and advising men about hair, (I hope Stricktlydating does not mind, I feel that I am hijacking her hub, she could close this down at any moment, and that would be that) it is a subject that has fascinated me since I was 11, and that is BEFORE I had any hairs on my body except on my head.
I at that age I wanted to be hairy when I grew older, I did not need to wait long, the hairs started to grow a year later, I can only compare it rather like a girl say at the age of 9 who wants to have a good pair of breasts when she gets older. So I was quite lucky and happy when the hair started.

hi almorr am 19 years old and i started to get chest hair at 15 a few hairs at first and seemed to stay like that for months.then between 16 and 17 hairs were sprouting all over my chest was it like that for you. Do you have a son and does he have hairs on his chest.I have a younger brother mark he is 16 he got afew hairs around his nipfunnyples and and one hair in the centre of his chest it is funny to look at he will start sprouting chest hair soon hopfullly

David, I am not sure about the exact percentage of men over 18 who have hairy chests, I think maybe 75%, shoulder hair, about 20%, legs are the most with probably 95% and arms 80%, look up Internet sites about different parts of the world where people are the hairiest.
Tom, sorry but this hub is not a site for advising people how to shave their chest or any other part of their body(excluding face) striktlydating I am sure would not approve of anyone on her hub advising any man how to do that.
I don't know because I have never cut, waxed or even trimmed 1 hair from myself. Sorry for being a little hard on you, but go to one of these Internet sites that advise men how to wax and shave their body hair, but this is not one of them, good day.
Frank, yes it was like that with me as well. I visited my son yesterday (Wednesday 7th March) on the occasion of his daughter's 4th birthday, he came in from work, stripped to the waist to have a shower, I noticed that he has a hairy chest as well, his legs are as hairy as mine, arms a little less hairy, the big difference between my son and me is his shoulders, where I am very hairy on them, he has only about 5 hairs on each shoulder.
almorr i have a patch of ten hairs in the middle of my chest am 16 years old most of my mates at school dont have chest hair i get teased becaused of this i feel embarressed. Do you think i should shave it of please answer
Andy, NO NO NO, your school mates are a little envious of you now having 10 hairs on your chest, that's just the start of you having a nice manly hairy chest, you will soon have 110 and more, they too will have hairs as well, some guys are a little earlier/later than others, although if by 16 if there is no sign of any hairs on his chest, a guy just might never have them, and be naturally smooth. So Andy don't shave them off.
almorr thanks for answering me and my mate go for showers at school and he has no chest hair he smooth. I started to get chest hair about a year ago and i have a patch of dark hairs on my chest. Andy, there is a good chance that your mate will remain smooth, but in your case, you have the same 'genes' as your dad, you should be just as hairy as him within 2 years, but of course the hairs won't be as long as his, because he is older than you.
i think hairy men are sexy. no i am not forty or a freak. im a nineteen year old girl. i cant believe how many women actually prefer hairless men. they remind me of the losers i dated in highschool. i really would love an ape man who is hairy all over. just the thought makes me horny.
Kenny, I think and very much hope that you will beat your dad, the fact that you are very hairy from as they say 'down there' (your private pubic hairs part) up to your belly button, all sorts of strange names for that part-happy trail. No two people are EXACTLY the same, so I hope you eventually become just as hairy on your chest as everywhere else, cross your fingers that happens.
Robert, I agree that's great, one night you go to bed, the next day, 6 small hairs appear on your chest, I bet you will be proud to show your school mates your chest, that's just the start, if you already have hairy legs, arms, etc you will be just as hairy on the chest in a couple of years, if not months time. Lizzy, you appreciate hairy guys, I agree that a lot of 'new men' shave everywhere, but a lot on this hub love to be natural, I wonder if you could contact 'being hairy' and 'ape hairy' these hubs are now 8 weeks and 2 months old (same time). Robert, your the guy who woke up and found 6 hairs on your chest, OK, hairs on chest don't stop growing, who knows how long they will be by the time your are 30, 40, etc., although they grow slower than head hair.
Tony, through time, hopefully hairs should grow in the middle too, a little unusual for the hairs not be there now, I saw a picture on the Internet of a lady who had about 5 hairs round her nipples, I was very very surprised that could happen on a women, the reason was that she had some male hormones in her body.
Graham, not really, it would be probably a bit unusual for hairs to begin growing on a boy of now a days 10 years old, that is the beginning of puberty, as you say, hairs begin growing at pubes, then under the arms, spreading gradually up the body to the chest anywhere between 3 to 5 years after they began to grow on their private parts. There are some men on this hub saying that hairs only began to grow on their chests in their mid twenties, others 10 years earlier, so it does vary a lot.

Yes Kenny I noticed your hub of 3 weeks ago, no matter how thick your forest down below is don't shave, wax, cut or trim any of the hairs, what they call a happy trail extents up towards your 'belly button' and beyond. I wonder if your father is a little envious of you now having chest hair, you should have many more over the next month or so, so eventually you should have a forest of hair on your chest as well as 'down there' (private parts) good luck.

hi almorr am 19 i started to get some chest hair between 15 and 16 years old and still at school and had about 11 hairs until a few months ago when hair started to sprout everwhere now their is hairs right across my chest it seemed to come all off a sudden is this normal as my mate got some hair on his chest my mate would like to know if his chest hair will do the same please answer
Good day stricktlydating, I appreciate and thankyou for your comment. I notice quite a lot of younger men have been asking me how soon I got hairs on various parts of my body in particular my chest, I just tell them when, and usually wish them all the best in their hair growth.

When I look back to last year, all the questions were about what women in general thought about hairy men, now the questions are about how younger men can get hairs at certain ages of their lives.

Ben:- you are going to be very hairy soon, your friend maybe as well, everyone develops hair at different times in their life, some quickly like you, others are a bit slower, I have read that some men only start having hair on their chest AFTER 30 years of age and other boys as young as 14.

I agree Almorr. I could relate to the question, because I was an early developer, and I remember some of my peers sniggering about me when I started wearing a bra, but soon enough they were all wearing them, everyone soon caught up.
Hello Striklydating, not much has been happening for about 4 weeks so I thought I would mention to you about what they call in men, and in some women too, their "happy trail". Mine started at puberty, immediately at 13 I had a light trail extending up to my 'belly button', then it was about a inch and a half wide, I have been reading in Wikipedia that about 80% of boys have that by 15. As I grew older this trail became wider and wider, it is now 8 to 9 inches wide with the hairs at that part of my body about 3" long, that's not as long as my chest or shoulder hair. Wikipedia calls that development on men growing the Disperse of Quadrangular phase in a mans abdomen, I reached that phase I think about 18, this Disperse hair is only on men who you like, really hairy and I am proud to say that I'am like that.
I am now a lot older, 66 on 24 May, I have a son and daughter, sadly my wife died recently, my son gave me a computer which I enjoy. Hope you don't mind me sending and telling me about myself, but as I have said before, I have always been interested in body hair since before I was hairy, just one of those things that I became interested in at that age. I also became interested in the opposite sex and many types of music.

I am a 17 year old girl and i like guys with hair not alot but some places should have hair like there Legs, Arms, Chest and a happy tail to and if my man wants face hair he can have it to i think a man who has hair on his face is sexy.
G'day stricklydating, did I ever mention to you the party I was at. It was New Year, just 9 months after I married at the age of 25. There were 4 couples, all married, one of the girls asked all the men to strip to their waists and then count how many hairs they had on their chest. One guy had 3 hairs, another 10, but when it came to me, she cried out "O my God you'r like a werewolf, I can't count them all" I said you must start counting them. After about 5 minutes she got to about 500 and gave up. That was really the first time I felt really proud of how hairy I was on my chest, I hope you don't mind me telling you all about that party. Later she asked me to strip everything off, she had got drunk and wanted to see how hairy I was 'down there' but I was not drunk and refused.

I am extreme hairy young guy and i just hate it , and the funny thing is one can't keep on removing hairs if they are a lot and everywhere...so i just have to keep my fur as i call it.

@almor: there must have been times/phase when even you might have hated them. Did you ever felt down/depressed/abnormal esp compared to other "normal" men?did you ever suffered/made fun of esp by gals?did you tried to hide then as much as possible?

I never think being furry makes me manly or that girls will like it. But yeah maybe the one for me will just accept it out of true love!

Hello "guy with hair" and "neil". Yes there was a time I felt a little shy about taking my top off outside to expose my hairy chest, about when I was 17 or 18, but after that I did not care what people thought. A mixed reaction from girls when I strip off, some think I look like a werewolf regarding my chest, others think I have arms like a monkey.
The first time that my wife to be saw my chest was when her parents invited me on holiday. When I took off my clothes she thought I was "wonderfully hairy", your just like my dad, so she did not mind. The only time that I felt awkward being hairy was regarding my neck, my father made me go to the hairdresser every 2 weeks, that was a drag, but as I have mentioned before, these thick neck hairs have spread down to make my shoulders very bushy, so there was a price to be had, hairy neck, hairy shoulders and chest.
By the was here in Scotland we are having a heatwave, most guys are going around half naked, so I have have been observing how many have hairy chests.
Stricktlydating, I have noticed not many guys in Scotland shave their chests, so thats good news for you, most men I have noticed do HAVE some hair on there chests, however, up to now I seem to be the only one who has hairy shoulders, not so common as chest hair.

I tend to think more don't than do here in Australia too, and even those who do shave don't always do it because they are so hairy, I think they just want to look smooth...Eeek! Yesterday I was having a conversation with a male work collegue who was wearing a crisp collared shirt and I noticed just before the top button spikey stubble from regrowth poking out. It was very off-putting...
